Here’s just one: Nurses can play a key role as a primary care-giver, the "entry point" for patients into the system. Nurses are in the best position to listen to the patient's complaint, provide nursing care when appropriate, refer them to the appropriate health care provider (such as a nutritionist, psychologist, physiotherapist, physician, or counsellor) and/or follow up as necessary.
