“Although some today might suggest that clinicians who resist adopting new technology are "neo-Luddites", increasing numbers are quietly waiting for the vision of EHRs to be realized.” Dr. Lynn Nagle

HEALTHCARE ISSUES

OFF THE CUFF:

Health Edition sifts through thousands of items from news sources, governments and Hansard to bring you a weekly summary of the news. It’s free.

New Book on healthy eating. Ania Bogacka is a managing editor with Longwoods and a successful writer with a brand new book. For the Poles among you have a look at this: “Zdrowie”. The premise is that “you are what you eat.” Congrats to Ania – it must have been a real challenge. A quick look at Polish cuisine found this to be their No. 1 Hors d'Oeuvre: Smalec - partially double fried lard with onion, marjoram and sometimes with apple or prune. It is spread over bread and served together with pickled cucumbers as an appetizer before the main meal. You will not find the recipe in this book.
