Longwoods eLetter February 14, 2006

"
Diane Beattie, chief information officer of London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St. Joseph’s Health Care London (SJHC), said one of the hardest parts of an IT project is making changes to the way things are done. The biggest challenge is taking the time to do the transformation agenda properly,” said Beattie, quoting a catch phrase the hospital uses called, “Success equals process change plus enabling technology. The hard part is the process change -- making sure that the clinicians are involved in it. If it looks like and feels like an IT project, it will go in the tank." IT Business
