Guaranteed Wait Times in Manitoba
				The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Health, announced a wait times guarantee for First Nations people living on reserve in Manitoba who face infections and possible amputations arising from diabetes. Saint Elizabeth Health Care will use training to ensure the application of clinical guidelines and so deliver improved wound care and patient outcomes. They will guarantee a defined time and alternative care options, should the time frame be exceeded.
The Minister also announced that the Canadian Government will invest up to $25 million in a new vaccine research and development facility at the University of Saskatchewan to develop vaccines for both humans and animals
